Welcome to my blog! By day, I’m a middle school teacher and robotics coach with nearly two decades of experience in the classroom. But outside of work, I immerse myself in two passions that bring my home to life: houseplants and dogs.

Here, I share my journey of building an indoor jungle, with tips on everything from selecting the perfect plants to creating the ideal conditions for them to thrive. I’m constantly experimenting with different species, learning from trial and error, and enjoying the challenge of turning my home into a green sanctuary. You’ll find posts about my favorite plants, advice on troubleshooting common plant problems, and insights into keeping indoor plants happy and healthy.

Alongside my plant adventures, I love spending time with my canine companions. Dogs bring unmatched joy to my life, and this blog is also a space to share stories about their antics, helpful care tips, and the special bond we share.

Meet my furry crew! Poppy is my classic golden retriever, full of loyalty and sweetness. Gunny, also a golden retriever, has a bit of a wild side and keeps things lively! Bexley, my cocker spaniel, is the watchful one, always keeping an eye on things and taking charge when needed. And then there’s Harper, also a cocker spaniel, the sweet, cuddly, and adorably chubby one who loves nothing more than a cozy snuggle.

One of my absolute favorite plants is the Monstera Albo. Its striking, marbled leaves with stunning white variegation bring an elegant touch to any space, and watching it grow is so rewarding. I love how each new leaf unfurls with its own unique pattern, making every one a little work of art. Though it requires some extra care to maintain those beautiful variegated leaves, the Monstera Albo’s beauty makes every bit of effort worthwhile. Mine is pictured below!

Whether you’re looking for tips on balancing houseplants and pets, want to dive into the plant care world, or are just here to enjoy some dog stories, I’m excited to have you along for the journey!
